Graz 1998. Reprint of the ed. 1677 „Gründtliche Darstellung der Fünff Seullen ...“ by Abraham Leuthner, ed. by H. G. Franz, 46 pp. introduction with 36 b/w ill., 83 pp. reprint of the copperplate edition, 20 x 29 cm, brochure.

Austrian-born Abraham Leuthner (1640–1701) was distinguished among the Baroque architects active in 17th-century Prague and Bohemia for his treatise on architecture, which was printed for the first time in the year 1677. This work – with over 80 copperplate engravings – is an attempt to present the formal repertory available to both architects and craftsmen of this period. The book provides the reader with a cross-section of the architectural tastes of the 1770s in Prague, which spread out as far as Vienna and other Austrian cities in much the same form.
